The Red Ribbon Partnership (RRP) brings community awareness, coordination, and advocacy to counter the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Fulton and Montgomery Counties of New York.
Partners are available for group presentations (tailored to age-appropriateness, English/Spanish speaker, current knowledge, and spirituality of group members). Information is also shared at local community events and festivals.
We get more when we get together! The RRP unites and organizes the efforts of local agencies and community members to make the greatest impact on preventing the spread of HIV and supporting persons living with HIV/AIDS. To join our efforts, either as an agency or an individual, please Contact Us for our meeting times.
Responding to HIV and AIDS with blame or abuse towards people living with HIV and AIDS simply forces the epidemic underground creating the ideal conditions for HIV to spread. For people living with HIV or those assumed to be, no area of life is untouched by stigma and no area of life invulnerable to discrimination, including employment, housing, insurance, education, services, travel, immigration, family and community. The RRP helps to end stigma through education and helps to bring beneficial policies and services to better address the needs of those individuals living with HIV/AIDS in our communities.
RRP operates under the umbrella of: Centro Civico of Amsterdam, Inc.
